About the Role
Are you interested in Environmental Monitoring and Consultancy? This is an excellent opportunity to excel as an Assistant Environmental Consultant and play a vital role in supporting our growing business. As part of SOCOTEC UK's Environment & Safety Division, you will join a dedicated Environmental Consultancy Team and proudly represent the SOCOTEC brand.
We are seeking a proactive, reliable, and flexible individual who can balance being driven and independent with strong teamwork skills. Your responsibilities will include soil and water sampling, supervision of ground investigation and remediation, environmental monitoring, and producing factual and interpretative reports across a range of technical disciplines.
Our Environmental team consists of specialists covering Environmental Monitoring and Consultancy, supported by specialist laboratories. Our services range from on-site monitoring and sample collection for local businesses to large government contracts, including consultancy on contaminated land projects and onsite monitoring for dust, noise, and local exhaust emissions. We pride ourselves on delivering comprehensive consulting, monitoring, and testing services through our highly trained employees.

Experience
Previous experience or background in environmental consultancy is essential to thrive in this role.
About you
You are proactive, reliable, flexible, and able to work independently while being a strong team player. You must be willing to travel across the UK and stay away from home for project work.
Qualifications
A relevant scientific or environmental degree is required.
A full UK driving licence is essential.
