Foundation - Apprenticeships

About the course
Apprenticeships Overview
An Apprenticeship is a programme available all year round and open to individuals aged 16 and over. Apprentices do real jobs for real employers, earning while they learn. If you are entering work for the first time, you will start earning from day one of your Apprenticeship. As an Apprentice, you will build knowledge and skills while gaining qualifications and earning money simultaneously.
Apprenticeships involve working towards a work-based qualification alongside other nationally recognised qualifications. Employers across the country value Apprenticeships as they demonstrate that you have been trained in the skills they need.

Entry Requirements
Entry Requirements
Level 2 (Intermediate), equivalent to GCSEs: The only formal requirement is a minimum age of 16. Employers may ask for a demonstrable interest in the apprenticeship area and the ability to complete the programme.
Level 3 (Advanced), equivalent to A-levels: Employers typically seek at least three GCSEs, particularly in English and maths. Relevant experience is also beneficial.
Level 4 (Higher), equivalent to a foundation degree: Employers look for GCSEs and Level 3 qualifications such as A-levels or BTECs. Experience in a relevant subject is also desired.
All Apprenticeship candidates must undertake maths and English assessments as part of the onboarding process. Admission is subject to meeting the entry criteria.
Next Steps
