Course Overview
This Level 1 BTEC Land-based Studies course is a one-year vocational programme designed for learners with EHCPs who benefit from a structured, practical, and supportive learning environment. Delivered through the Supported Learning department, the course introduces students to a range of land-based sectors including animal care, horticulture, and land management. This course is open to learners aged 16–25 who have an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP). There are no formal qualifications required for entry, just an interest in nature, animals, and practical outdoor learning, and a willingness to engage in group activities and hands-on tasks.
