About the course

Description
This course covers the installation of dedicated conductive charging equipment for pure electric and plug-in hybrid electric road vehicles (PHEV), including the extended range of electric vehicles (E-REV). It addresses the installation of both AC and DC charging equipment intended for plug-in electric vehicles (PEV) in compliance with general requirements for EV conductive charging systems (BS EN 61851) and the Code of Practice for Electric Vehicle Charging Equipment.

This qualification is delivered over 1 week at Lewisham Way.

Candidates must already hold one of the following qualifications:
- Level 3 NVQ Diploma in Installing Electrotechnical Systems and Equipment (Buildings Structures and the Environment)
- Level 3 NVQ Diploma in Electrotechnical Services (Electrical Maintenance)
- Level 3 Electrotechnical Qualification
- Level 3 NVQ in Electrotechnical Services Experienced Worker
- Level 3 Electrotechnical Experienced Worker Qualification
