Qualification Outcome
On successful completion of an online exam, you will achieve the NOCN Level 4 Award in Assessing Domestic Dwellings for Retrofit - a recognised, Ofqual-regulated qualification. This confirms you have the knowledge and skills to work as a Retrofit Assessor and progress to Level 5 Retrofit Coordination.
Course Fee: Warm Homes funded: £700 + VAT. IAAF Federation member (Warm Homes funded): £200 + VAT. Fully funded (free) places available for eligible applicants.

Requirements: Aged 18+; completed a Level 3 DEA qualification and registered as a Domestic Energy Assessor with a recognised accreditation body
Entry Requirements
This qualification is available only to learners aged 18 or over. You must have completed a Level 3 qualification in Domestic Energy Assessment and be registered as a Domestic Energy Assessor with a recognised accreditation body. You should be able to demonstrate the requirements of the qualification and have access to the required assessment opportunities and relevant resources.
This qualification develops your practical skills, understanding and knowledge in assessing domestic dwellings for retrofit, preparing you for employment as a Retrofit Assessor. You will develop skills and knowledge of PAS 2035 and the retrofit process, and learn to complete and report on retrofit assessments of different dwellings.

- The retrofit assessment process
- Ventilation and energy performance requirements of dwellings
- Occupancy assessments
- Assessing the general condition of buildings and dwellings
- Retrofit assessment reporting
Assessment is by portfolio plus a professional discussion with the course tutor via video call.
