This Level 3 City & Guilds qualification is intended as a short professional course for individuals wishing to become Domestic Energy Assessors (DEAs) in the property sector.
The aim is to understand how to prepare for, conduct, and report on domestic energy assessments in line with industry standards. It provides expert guidance to learners wishing to develop and extend their knowledge and practical understanding of domestic energy efficiency.
You will:
Learn how to conduct energy assessments in a safe, effective, and professional manner.
Learn how to prepare for energy assessments of domestic properties.
Be able to undertake energy inspections in accordance with standard procedures.
Understand how to produce and explain Energy Performance Certificates (EPCs) for domestic properties.
Gain the practical experience required to complete one accompanied and five independent energy assessments.
There is no final exam — assessment is through a portfolio of evidence and written assignments.
