About the Role
GEDU Global Education is a UK-headquartered group of institutions and businesses operating across 13 countries. Our flagship institution, Global Banking School (GBS), founded in 2010, educates over 35,000 students across 10 campuses in East and West London, Birmingham, Leeds, and Manchester. The Group also includes MLA College, MetaGedu, GlobalU, EP, and international campuses such as ICN, Schiller International University, EMA, GBS Malta, GBS Dubai, and APAC in Brisbane. GEDU partners with the United Nations Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR) and hosts CIFAL City of London, a centre for capacity building and leadership training.

This newly created role reports to the Managing Director for External Engagement and Sustainability and is pivotal in positioning GEDU as a leading UK-based global education group. The Advocacy Content and Sustainability Manager will develop and communicate compelling advocacy, thought leadership, and profile-building content focused on sustainability and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Key responsibilities include supporting public policy objectives across the group, showcasing the Group’s sustainability initiatives, and delivering the partnership with UNITAR through CIFAL City of London programmes.

The role involves creating evidence-based thought leadership content such as annual sustainability and international education trend reports, managing policy and advocacy events including an international education conference, monitoring and communicating the Group’s SDG-related activities, and building strong external stakeholder relationships. The manager will also collaborate with UNITAR and the MD to design and deliver capacity development activities, manage CIFAL City of London’s Advisory Board, produce briefing materials, represent GEDU in relevant forums, and oversee partners and suppliers to ensure timely and budget-compliant delivery.

This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-growing, global organisation, engage with the United Nations on educational initiatives, and develop expertise in government relations, PR, and communications within a dynamic, newly formed team.

- Proven track record in producing outstanding thought leadership content using research and analytical expertise, preferably related to SDGs and sustainability.
- Ability to blend evidence-based data with compelling storytelling and case studies.
- Experience engaging influential online communities through thought leadership and insights.
- Skilled in conceptualising and directing events such as webinars, roundtables, and conferences.
- Experience crafting executive-level briefings and papers.
- Proven relationship-building skills and ability to work across multiple business functions and international locations.

About you
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Meticulous attention to detail.
- Highly organised with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and comfortable working in a digital environment.
- Enthusiastic, flexible, and a collaborative team player.
- Interest in working within a fast-growing global organisation and alongside the United Nations.
- Motivated by opportunities to develop understanding of government relations, PR, and communications.
