About the Role
The United Kingdom Accreditation Service (UKAS) is seeking a skilled and experienced Assessment Manager to join our Corporate Sustainability, Validation and Verification team. This varied and exciting role requires a passion for quality and a strong track record in Corporate Sustainability and its industry applications. You will be the key focal point for customers, ensuring their accreditation expectations are met with objectivity, diligence, and excellent customer service. The role involves selecting assessment teams, establishing the assessment approach, leading and coordinating the team, collating and reporting on assessments, and progressing each assessment project from start to finish. This position offers the opportunity to work in the public interest for one of the world’s leaders in accreditation. The role involves extensive travel, mainly within the UK, with frequent overnight stays.

Experience
- Relevant hands-on experience in Corporate Sustainability
- Broad knowledge of Corporate Sustainability and modern quality management systems
- Strong working knowledge of ISO/IEC 17021 and/or ISO/IEC 17029 and their implementation
- Experience in organisation auditing or assessment
- Customer-focused with excellent interpersonal, communication, and organisational skills

- Educated to degree level is desirable but not essential
