About the Role
The United Kingdom Accreditation Service (UKAS) is seeking a skilled and experienced Assessment Manager to join our Environmental Engineering team. This role requires a passion for quality and hands-on experience within an Environmental Engineering environment. You will be the key focal point for customers, ensuring their accreditation expectations are met with objectivity, diligence, and excellent customer service. Your responsibilities will include selecting assessment teams, establishing the assessment approach, leading and coordinating assessments, collating and reporting assessment outcomes, and progressing each assessment project from start to finish. Requirements

Experience
- Strong working knowledge of ISO/IEC 17025 and its implementation
- Practical experience in environmental engineering, including one or more of the following areas: temperature testing (including thermal shock), corrosion testing, vibration and shock testing, accelerometry, HALT & HASS testing, dynamic & static load, ballistics, and packaging
- Relevant hands-on experience and broad sector knowledge
- Experience in organisation auditing or assessment
- Good understanding of modern quality management systems in organisations

Qualifications
- Degree level education is desirable but not essential
