About the Role
The United Kingdom Accreditation Service (UKAS) is seeking a skilled and experienced Assessment Manager to join our Environmental Engineering team. This role requires a passion for quality and hands-on experience within an Environmental Engineering environment. You will be the key focal point for customers, ensuring their accreditation expectations are met with objectivity, diligence, and excellent customer service. Your responsibilities will include selecting assessment teams, establishing assessment approaches, leading and coordinating assessments, collating and reporting assessment outcomes, and progressing each assessment project from start to finish. Experience
- Strong working knowledge of ISO/IEC 17025 and its implementation
- Hands-on experience and broad knowledge in environmental engineering, including one or more of the following: temperature testing (including thermal shock), corrosion testing, vibration and shock testing, accelerometry, HALT & HASS testing, dynamic & static load testing, ballistics, and packaging
- Experience in organisation auditing or assessment
- Proven ability to lead assessment teams and manage assessment projects from start to finish

Qualifications
- Educated to degree level is desirable but not essential
