About the Role
Global Banking School (GBS) is a higher education provider working in partnership with leading UK universities, including Bath Spa University (BSU), to deliver sector-relevant courses across multiple campuses. We are currently seeking an Associate Dean for Construction Management/Built Environment to provide academic leadership and operational management of programmes delivered in partnership with BSU.
The successful candidate will lead staff involved in programme delivery, ensuring the highest quality teaching, pastoral support, and careers advice for students. You will manage day-to-day operations of the programmes across all GBS campuses, uphold academic standards through consistent assessment processes, and meet targets for student attendance, continuation, completion, and progression.
Key responsibilities include liaising with partner university staff, attending partnership meetings, producing high-quality reports, managing academic staff, and ensuring adherence to quality assurance and enhancement requirements. You will contribute to the Faculty Management Team and travel to all relevant campuses as required.

Experience
- Good honours degree and Master's degree in a relevant subject area
- Successful programme management experience
- Experience upholding academic standards and enhancing the student learning experience
- Experience working in partnership with universities and other higher education organisations
- Knowledge of internal and external quality assurance systems, including Office for Students requirements
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with an enthusiastic and professional approach

Qualifications
- Desirable: Experience in the construction industry
- Desirable: Professional qualifications relevant to the construction industry
- Desirable: Recognised teaching qualification or equivalent (e.g. FHEA via Advance HE)
- Desirable: Experience with quality assurance reviews (QAA, OfS)
- Desirable: External examining experience at UK universities or higher education providers
- Desirable: PhD or equivalent high-level professional experience in the discipline
- Desirable: Knowledge or track record in construction management with focus on BIM and digital technologies
- Desirable: Experience in academic programme design, development or amendment
- Desirable: Full membership of CIOB or equivalent professional body
