About the Role
We are recruiting for a Bats in Churches Advisor to join our small and busy National Bat Helpline team as maternity cover. In this role, you will contribute to bat conservation by responding to a wide range of enquiries from churches via phone and email. You will provide resources, information, and guidance to churches with bats, building on and developing our existing advice, guidance, and training, while considering the unique needs of church communities.
We are a friendly and supportive workplace with an inspiring environmental mission. As a hybrid working organisation, we offer flexibility around home-working, a 4% employer pension contribution, an Employee Assistance Programme, and dedicated time for learning, development, and volunteering. BCT is a welcoming and inclusive organisation committed to diversity and equality, fostering a working environment free from discrimination and open to all individuals.
Experience
Proven experience in project management and a solid grounding in bat biology and ecology. Knowledge of the issues surrounding bats in churches is essential.

Excellent communication and organisational skills with the ability to understand and respond to the needs of a diverse range of people. You should be able to inspire trust and respect among volunteers and church communities.
