About the Role
The Bat Conservation Trust (BCT) is the foremost non-governmental organisation dedicated to bat conservation and habitat protection. We are looking for a Biodiversity Training Officer to join us on a part-time, fixed-term basis for 12 months. This is a rewarding opportunity for an experienced bat ecologist with a bat survey or research licence to help train and inspire professionals across industries. You will support our Built Environment and Woodland projects with training and learning content that will increase awareness and improve practices. Specifically, you will deliver tailored courses both online and in person to ecologists and project teams, enhancing their knowledge of bats and encouraging best practice in surveying, mitigation, and habitat protection. Additionally, you will support the design and delivery of bespoke courses based on sector needs and deliver other BCT courses as a tutor or moderator, where appropriate.

Experience
Professional experience working with bats in trees and woodland, and in the built environment
Experience of public speaking and delivering training to varied audiences
Experience producing high-quality written content for different audiences
About you
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with strong written and spoken English
The ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to diverse professional audiences
A valid driving licence
The willingness and ability to travel within the UK, including occasional evenings and weekends
Qualifications
A Bats: survey or research level 2 licence (CL18)
