About the Role
The British Library and Camden Libraries are seeking a passionate Camden Green Libraries Coordinator to lead creative community engagement and programming focused on climate action. The Coordinator will design and deliver sessions in Camden libraries and at The British Library, enabling attendees to develop, learn, and share ideas for more sustainable everyday behaviours and the benefits of positive climate change action. This role involves documenting and sharing learning from Camden activities to support replication across all Green Library Hubs in the UK and more widely through the Living Knowledge Network. The post holder will work jointly for Camden Libraries (2.5 days per week) and The British Library in St Pancras (2.5 days per week) on a fixed term contract until 31st August 2028. This role is part of the National Lottery funded Green Libraries Hub Project, run by CILIP as part of the Green Libraries Campaign.
Experience
- Proven experience facilitating creative community workshops and activities with high engagement for diverse user groups.
- Demonstrated ability to make workshops accessible and inclusive within a broad community context.
About you
- Passionate about environmental issues and carbon positive action with strong subject knowledge.
- Excellent organisational and project management skills to plan and deliver efficient, well-prepared workshops.
