About the Role
Join the Estate Services Team at London and Quadrant Housing Trust (L&Q) as a Caretaker, playing a key role in delivering a responsive, customer-focused service for our residents. You will be responsible for maintaining communal areas within blocks and estates, including communal cleaning and grounds maintenance. The role involves carrying out small maintenance repairs as required, liaising directly with residents and contractors, and addressing queries while maintaining a strong focus on health, safety, and security. This position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to the upkeep and safety of our communities in Hackney.

Experience
- Ability to carry out a variety of small repair jobs effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Trade skills, gardening or DIY experience is advantageous.
- Experience or qualifications in cleaning (City & Guilds or BICS) are beneficial but not essential as training will be provided.

- Proactive in daily activities with awareness of safe working practices.
- Possess good literacy standards.
- Basic IT skills to use a PC for online courses and assessments (training provided during probation).

- No formal qualifications required, but a Basic Disclosure Barring Service (DBS) certificate is necessary for this role (can be applied for upon appointment).
