About the Role
Join the Estate Services Team at London and Quadrant Housing Trust (L&Q) as a Caretaker, playing a key role in delivering a responsive, customer-focused service to our residents. You will be responsible for maintaining communal areas within blocks and estates, including communal cleaning and grounds maintenance. The role involves carrying out small maintenance repairs as required, liaising directly with residents and contractors, and addressing queries while maintaining a strong focus on health, safety, and security. This position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to the upkeep and wellbeing of our communities in Hackney and surrounding areas.

Experience
- Capable of carrying out a variety of small repair jobs
- Trade skills, gardening or DIY experience advantageous but not essential as training will be provided

- Good communicator, willing to learn new skills as the service evolves
- Able to work on your own initiative and self-motivated to organise your time effectively
- Proactive in daily activities and aware of safe working practices
- Possess good literacy standards
- Basic IT skills required to use a PC, undertake online courses and assessments (training provided during probation)

Qualifications
- Recognised City & Guilds or BICS qualification in cleaning is an advantage but not essential
- Successful candidate must apply for or hold a Basic Disclosure Barring Service (DBS) certificate to work within the team
