About the Role
Join the Estate Services Team at London and Quadrant Housing Trust as a Caretaker. You will play a key role in maintaining communal areas within our blocks and estates, carrying out communal cleaning and grounds maintenance work. The role involves performing small maintenance repairs as required, liaising directly with residents and contractors, and addressing queries with due regard to health, safety, and security. This position is essential to our commitment to providing a responsive, customer-focused service for our residents. Experience
Capable of carrying out a variety of small repair jobs and working effectively both as part of a team and on your own initiative. Trade skills, gardening or DIY experience would be an advantage.

About you
A good communicator who is willing to learn new skills as the service adapts to changing neighbourhood needs. You should be proactive in your daily activities, aware of safe working practices, self-motivated, and able to organise your own time effectively. Possessing a good literacy standard and basic IT skills is important as you will be required to use a PC for online courses and assessments, which can be learned on the job during the probationary period.

Qualifications
A recognised City & Guilds or BICS qualification in cleaning is desirable but not essential as full training will be provided. The successful candidate will need to apply for or hold a Basic Disclosure Barring Service (DBS) certificate to work within the team.
