Grounds Maintenance Operatives
Maintain shrub beds through pruning, weeding, and leaf clearing using hand tools and machinery.
Cut grass with hand-held and ride-on mowers.
Remove litter, leaves, and debris from landscaped areas, including bins and drug-related waste.
Carry out weed and pest control, graffiti removal, and snow clearance.
Patrol parks, mark pitches, and check play areas for safety.
Support tree maintenance and help keep waterways clean and clear.
Follow health and safety procedures and wear all required PPE and uniform.

Caretakers
Perform lighting checks in communal areas and replace bulbs as needed.
Carry out cleaning tasks across entrances, staircases, corridors, lifts, bin rooms, car parks, and podium gardens.
Litter picking, sweeping, and maintaining outdoor spaces to keep them tidy and inviting.
Be the primary contact for residents regarding caretaking queries.
Work closely with teams such as Neighbourhood Services to ensure residents’ needs are met and concerns are reported.

- Experience in grounds maintenance
- Skilled in using a wide range of tools, machinery, and equipment
- Specialist knowledge of horticultural practices

Caretakers
- Experience in caretaking or cleaning
- Confident use of powered equipment

Qualifications
Grounds Maintenance Operatives
- NVQ Level 1 or equivalent
- A current UK driving licence
Caretakers
- A full UK driving licence (essential)
- Understanding of COSHH and general Health & Safety
