This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to delivering environmental policy objectives, focusing on climate change mitigation and adaptation within the water sector.
As a Climate Change Specialist, you will develop and implement Ofwat’s approach to climate change, including reporting metrics, and engage with key stakeholders such as water companies, government officials, environmental groups, and other regulators. You will provide expert advice, represent Ofwat’s policies, and embed climate change considerations across the organisation’s work. This varied role combines policy development, systems thinking, project management, and stakeholder engagement to help shape the future of water and environmental outcomes.
Key responsibilities include developing climate change mitigation and adaptation strategies, influencing strategic policy relationships, collaborating across teams and sectors, and seeking innovative solutions beyond the water sector to address environmental challenges.
