About the Role
Cambridge Zero has an exciting opportunity within our Communications and Engagement Team to support the delivery of our communication and engagement strategy. This role promotes the work being done across the University of Cambridge to address the climate crisis. You will support communications across all programmes of activity including public engagement, internal and external communications, public affairs, research communications, philanthropic and alumni engagement, student engagement, and media relations. You will help develop content and activities, support the Head of Communications, and assist the team in their communications and engagement efforts.

Cambridge Zero exists to maximise the University’s contribution towards achieving a resilient and sustainable world by enabling, integrating, and accelerating climate-related education, research, and innovation. We work collaboratively across the University, Colleges, and related institutions to connect, convene, and engage the wider University community. This role offers the opportunity to be part of a dynamic team driving impactful climate action through effective communication.

Successful candidates will be required to undergo a health assessment once an offer of employment is accepted. Requirements

Experience
- Writing news, social media, or website content
- Using design tools such as Canva, Adobe Acrobat, or similar
- Writing engaging content and communicating complex academic concepts to broad, non-expert audiences
