About the Role
Creekside Education Trust is a nature conservation and outdoor education charity based on the banks of Deptford Creek. Our purpose is to inspire people to connect with the wonder of urban wildlife. We are seeking a creative and enthusiastic communicator to raise Creekside’s profile and engage a growing, diverse audience. As a key member of our small team, you will lead the development and delivery of our communications strategy, bringing our mission to life across social media, our website, and other platforms. This role blends strategic thinking with hands-on content creation and delivery. You will craft engaging and informative content that showcases our work and impact, reaching local communities, schools, funders, partners, and supporters. Additionally, you will support outreach activities and events, helping to build strong relationships and partnerships that further our mission. Benefits include 22 days annual leave plus bank holidays and a Christmas closure period, along with a 3% employer pension contribution.

Experience
Experience in communications, marketing, or a related field is desirable. Proven ability to create engaging content and manage communications across multiple platforms is essential.

You are a creative and enthusiastic communicator with strong interpersonal skills. You enjoy working both independently and collaboratively within a small team. You are passionate about nature conservation and outdoor education, and motivated to inspire others through your work. Flexibility to occasionally work evenings and weekends is important.

Qualifications
Relevant qualifications in communications, marketing, media, or a related discipline are preferred but not essential. A positive attitude and willingness to learn are highly valued.
