Understand and preserve the past while influencing the future. Wychavon and Malvern Hills District Councils are seeking a skilled and motivated Conservation Officer to help shape the future of our towns and villages while safeguarding their unique heritage. From timber-framed cottages and medieval churches to Georgian streetscapes and Victorian civic buildings, our districts offer an extraordinary range of heritage assets. In this role you will:
- Advise on planning applications, listed building consents, and enforcement cases affecting designated heritage assets.
- Undertake site visits and provide expert input on repairs, alterations, and heritage statements.
- Support the preparation of conservation policy documents and contribute to appeals and public inquiries.
- Promote good design and conservation practice across the district.

Experience
At least one year’s experience in planning or conservation.

About you
Strong communication, organisational, and analytical skills.
A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.

Qualifications
A degree in Historic Building Conservation, Planning, or a related field.
