You can embrace your curiosity in a culture that celebrates new ideas and diverse perspectives. You can experience a world of opportunity and the chance to shape a career as unique as you.

Do you have a passion for trees? WSP has a large, highly experienced and friendly Ecology and Arboriculture team involved in a diverse range of projects across multiple sectors within the UK for both private and public sector clients. The team prides itself on integrated support by working alongside in-house specialists to deliver commercially balanced, innovative and integrated solutions.

You will be expected to be involved with several projects concurrently and be a proactive member of the team. While knowledge of GIS and CAD is not required, it is an advantage. Experience with digital data capture devices such as tablets in the field is preferred. The Arboriculture and Forestry team and its projects are spread across the UK, offering flexibility on location.

Your new role will involve providing support to the Principal and Senior Consultant, conducting site-based surveys, assessments, measurements, inspections and monitoring in relation to BS5837:2012 and tree hazard assessments. You will collate and interpret arboricultural information from desk studies, prepare technical reports and feasibility studies, contribute to arboricultural impact assessments and arboricultural method statements, and liaise with design teams to develop mitigation solutions.

Additional responsibilities include data analysis, project management, supporting senior and junior team members, working on NSIP/DCO projects, managing tight deadlines, ensuring delivery of high-quality work, project pricing for small sites, participating in recruitment when requested, and mentoring junior team members to encourage their career development.
