About the Role
Join Changeworks, a leading organisation dedicated to decarbonising Scotland’s homes and supporting a just transition to net zero. As a Consultant - Research, you will play a key role in developing and delivering high quality, innovative projects and services aligned with Changeworks’ strategy to accelerate home decarbonisation. You will support the research and options analysis service portfolio while contributing flexibly to the broader consultancy portfolio as it evolves. Working closely with Senior and Principal Consultants, you will help diversify and grow impact-focused, income-generating projects and contracts. Your responsibilities will include business development, client prospecting, tender and bid writing, and ensuring projects meet their objectives, budgets, and deadlines. You will lead by example in line with Changeworks’ values, support staff development, and contribute to shaping sector policy and practice through thought leadership, public engagement, and cross-sector collaboration. This is a pivotal role in a growing organisation committed to a sustainable, low-carbon Scotland.
Experience
- Strong experience in project management within professional, research, or consultancy roles.
- Proven ability to deliver excellence in project delivery.
- Experience contributing to bid and tender writing for a range of funders including commercial, philanthropic, and academic sources.
- Knowledge of qualitative and quantitative research methodologies, ideally applied to retrofit-related research.
