About the Role
Join Microsoft as a Data Center Critical Environment Technician Manager within Cloud Operations & Innovation (CO+I), the engine powering Microsoft’s cloud services including Bing, Office 365, Xbox, OneDrive, and Azure. In this role, you will lead and manage a team responsible for delivering and maintaining the core infrastructure and foundational technologies across a global portfolio of over 200 datacenters in 32 countries. You will oversee operations and maintenance of critical environment equipment such as electrical, mechanical, controls, HVAC, and generators, ensuring safe, reliable, and efficient datacenter performance. This role emphasizes people management through empowerment, coaching, and accountability, while fostering a culture of safety, inclusion, and continuous improvement. You will respond to onsite incidents, develop and follow emergency and standard operating procedures, and coordinate with third-party contractors to maintain operational excellence. Experience
- Mission critical services work or applied learning experience in high availability assembly, manufacturing, or critical infrastructure environments such as data centers, oil and gas refineries, hospitals, pharmaceutical, or related fields.
- Experience directing, supervising, or managing others or leading projects.
- Availability for escalation outside standard business hours.
- Ability to pass Microsoft Cloud background check and meet security screening requirements.

Qualifications
- Required: High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent AND mission critical services experience or equivalent.
- Preferred: Associate's Degree, technical trade certification, or higher education in related fields.
- People management experience.
- Specialized experience in mechanical, electrical, or controls fields is advantageous.
- Ability to meet Microsoft and government security screening requirements.
