About the Role
Dacorum Borough Council declared a Climate and Ecological Emergency in 2019 and is committed to supporting a borough-wide response. A key part of this commitment is the Dacorum Climate Action Network (DCAN) — a community-led network aimed at supporting residents, groups and organisations to take local climate action. We are seeking a dedicated and dynamic DCAN Co-ordinator to grow and embed this exciting network, ensuring it becomes a high-impact initiative at the heart of our community climate response. This role will lead on engagement, communications, events, and partnership working, while showcasing and amplifying climate-related projects across the borough.

Experience
- Proven experience in community engagement programmes and climate or sustainability initiatives.
- Strong event management and organisational skills.

About you
- Excellent communicator with strong engagement and partnership skills.
- Comfortable working independently and proactively.
- Skilled in generating content for newsletters, social media, and other communications.
- Flexible to occasionally work evenings and weekends to support events.
- Willing to undergo a Basic Disclosure and Barring Service check.
