About the Role
Are you a skilled digital communicator who loves bringing people together behind causes online? Do you get energy from working collaboratively with others, whether colleagues or online communities? We are looking for a creative and strategic individual who can plan, develop, and deliver compelling digital content and campaigns across a range of channels. You will have a natural flair for copywriting and be able to confidently embody our charity tone and values to engage our audiences in down-to-earth and action-provoking conversations. We’re looking for someone who’s got an eye for hot topics and who can act quickly on opportunities to spark conversation with our audiences and the media. Someone comfortable to pick up the phone to journalists and find ways we can help each other. Our digital communications channels are vital in delivering against our charity ambitions. We’re not interested in broadcasting content to the largest numbers possible, but instead in building and deepening our relationships with key audiences online: Community voices: people directly experiencing the impact of the issues we work on; Individual supporters: people who take action on our issues with us; Potential partners: organisations and funders who we can collaborate with; Press: trade and sector journalists who write about our issue areas. The role will report to our Marketing Manager within the Marcomms team and will also have a reporting line into our Senior Communications Campaign Manager for PR and Campaign activities.
