
Location
Leeds and/or Kenilworth, UK. Most site work will be based between these locations.
Hours
Full time, with travel and overnight stays required, especially during peak survey season.
Salary
From £28,000 dependent on skillset.

We have an exciting opportunity for an Ecological Consultant to join our dynamic terrestrial ecology team based in Leeds and/or Kenilworth. This role offers variety and excitement, with a strong emphasis on fieldwork and travel. You will work in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment, exploring different locations and engaging with clients and colleagues. Strong communication skills and the ability to build lasting relationships are essential. Experience
- Proven previous experience in a similar role, ideally within a commercial consultancy
- Prior experience of project management/coordination and/or coordinating surveys
- Working knowledge of ecology, legislation, and survey best practice
About you
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to write clear, concise reports
- A positive outlook and strong desire to succeed
- Full, clean UK driving licence, use of a car, and willingness to travel and stay away from home regularly
- Membership to the Chartered Institute of Ecological and Environmental Management (CIEEM)
Qualifications
- Degree or postgraduate degree in ecology or a closely related subject field
Desirable Skills
- One or more protected species licences (e.g. GCN, bat, dormouse)
- Ornithological skills
- Botany skills
