About the Role
As an EHS Advisor at Ingevity, you will be responsible for the effective implementation of the ISO 14001 & 45001 management systems at the Warrington site. Your role includes routine and improvement activities such as EHS KPI and target data collection, incident reporting, trend analysis, action planning, and site feedback. You will chair weekly EHS review meetings and facilitate the review of task Risk Assessments and COSHH Assessments. You will arrange and accompany routine inspections by approved external suppliers including fire extinguisher checks, LEV inspections, noise surveys, DSE assessments, legionella assessments, and asbestos surveys. Maintaining document control and routine reviews of EHS documentation is a key part of your responsibilities. You will assist with EHSQ training on site by developing and delivering training courses through various platforms or directly. Conducting site inspections to identify unsafe acts and conditions and recommending improvements will be part of your daily activities. You will support the EHSQ Manager in advising and training teams on regulatory compliance, manage site permit requirements, and lead or assist with audits of the EHSQ systems at Warrington. This role requires independent work within agreed budgets and priorities, with full authority to stop unsafe acts or processes that may harm individuals or the environment.

Experience
Previous experience in a chemical or process industries manufacturing plant is required. Experience with ISO 14001 & 45001 management systems and EHS compliance is highly desirable.

Qualifications
Recognised degree-level qualification or similar, ideally in a technical or environmental discipline. Professional environmental qualification such as IEMA General Certificate is preferred. Competent in computer programs including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
