About the Role
As an EHS Advisor at Ingevity, you will be responsible for the effective implementation of the ISO 14001 & 45001 management systems. Your duties will include routine and improvement activities such as EHS KPI and target data collection, handling and reporting, incident reporting, trend analysis, action planning, and site feedback. You will chair weekly EHS review meetings and facilitate the review of task risk assessments and COSHH assessments. Additionally, you will arrange and accompany routine inspections by approved external suppliers including fire extinguisher checks, LEV inspections, noise surveys, DSE assessments, legionella assessments, and asbestos surveys. Maintaining document control and conducting routine reviews of EHS documentation will also be part of your role.
You will assist with EHSQ training on site by developing training courses through research and delivering training via various platforms or directly. Conducting site inspections to identify unsafe acts and conditions, then recommending improvements, will be key responsibilities. You will support the EHSQ Manager in advising and training teams on regulatory compliance and assist with general administration duties within Ingevity UK as agreed. Managing site permit requirements and leading or assisting with audits of the EHSQ systems at the Warrington site are also essential functions.

Experience
Previous experience in a chemical or process industries manufacturing plant is required. Experience with ISO 14001 & 45001 management systems and EHS KPI reporting is highly desirable.
About you
You are confident, assertive, and possess excellent oral and written communication skills. You have the ability to work effectively with personnel at all levels. You are proactive in identifying unsafe acts and conditions and committed to continuous improvement. Competency in computer programs such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint is essential.
Qualifications
A recognised qualification to degree level or similar, ideally in a technical or environmental discipline. A professional qualification in environmental management such as the IEMA General Certificate is required.
