About the Role
We are seeking a motivated and experienced individual to lead a team of project support staff within the Energy, Climate Change and Sustainability Research space at the University of Leeds. This new role involves providing leadership and line management to a small team supporting a variety of high-profile research projects, including the "Production and Consumption Transformations Centre (PACT)", a five-year DESNZ/EPSRC funded initiative focused on the UK's climate mitigation ambitions, particularly industrial resource efficiency and household consumption.
As Team Manager, you will coordinate the team’s activities, oversee strategic workforce planning, and act as a key point of contact within the School of Earth and Environment. You will manage project delivery, including strategic planning, monitoring and evaluation, financial reporting, organising meetings, liaising with project teams and partners, and overseeing content production for project and media channels.
The role requires excellent organisational skills and experience managing complex projects in the Energy, Climate Change and Sustainability sector, with a strong understanding of relevant research and government agendas. You will foster a collaborative, cross-disciplinary working environment and contribute to the School’s mission of impactful research and inspiring teaching.
Experience
- Proven experience in project management and coordination of large, complex projects within the Energy, Climate Change and Sustainability research space.
- Experience providing leadership and line management to a team.
- Strong organisational and communication skills.
- Knowledge of research and government agendas related to energy, climate change, and sustainability.

Qualifications
