About the Role
As a Consultant within SLR's Energy & Emissions Excellence team, you will join a European-wide, cross-sector team delivering tangible sustainability and decarbonisation outcomes for clients. The team supports energy offtakers, developers, and investors by advising on energy economics, security, and emission management across operations and supply chains. You will contribute to projects that optimise energy use, reduce carbon emissions, and improve economic performance. Your responsibilities include supporting project managers, leading workstreams, ensuring data quality, and producing actionable insights and recommendations. You will develop and present technology assessments, participate in site visits, lead digital twin modelling of energy systems, define and evaluate scenarios, and deliver transition plans and financing models. Additionally, you will contribute to client strategies on supply chain decarbonisation, business development, proposal preparation, team skills development, research, and mentoring interns and analysts. The role involves collaboration across offices in Europe and occasional travel within the region.

Experience
3 to 5 years of professional experience in sustainability and decarbonisation, with strong consulting skills including analytical thinking, creativity, and the ability to translate strategy into practical actions. Experience in data-driven technical and economic analyses of energy systems, particularly in energy efficiency, green technologies, and industrial energy processes.

About You
You hold a university degree (Master's or PhD) in environmental sciences, engineering, business, or economics. You are fluent in English (minimum C1 level) and at least one of German, Dutch, or French, both written and spoken. You are motivated to work in a collaborative, supportive environment and are open to occasional travel within Europe. You are committed to contributing positively to the team and client success.

Qualifications
