About the Role
The City of London Corporation has adopted a radical Climate Action Strategy to achieve net zero carbon emissions, build climate resilience, and champion sustainable growth over the next two decades. This includes achieving net zero carbon emissions from its own operations by 2027, across investments and supply chain by 2040, and supporting net zero for the Square Mile by 2040. The organisation will invest £68m over six years, with £15m dedicated to preparing for extreme weather events.
As the Energy & Sustainability Reporting Manager, you will lead the reporting of scope 1 and 2 emissions data alongside fiscal utility monitoring, tracking progress against budgeted spend. You will utilise various tools including energy monitoring software, Power BI, and Microsoft Excel. Collaboration with the Energy Team is essential to support reductions in consumption and cost.
You will manage the Corporation's energy compliance reporting, including MEES, ESOS, Heat Network Notifications, and freedom of information requests. Additionally, you will oversee the management of credits from the City Corporation’s Power Purchase Agreement (PPA). The role also involves delivering awareness training and developing a stakeholder management plan to drive down energy use.
Experience
Proven experience in energy data management, energy management software, and relevant compliance frameworks. Ability to investigate and analyse energy and water usage and manage MEES regulations and other compliance requirements.
About you
Strong data and IT literacy with excellent communication skills. Deep knowledge of the energy industry, energy and carbon reporting, and relevant legislation. Ability to engage effectively with stakeholders and lead compliance reporting.
Qualifications
A relevant technical degree is essential.
