About the Role

We are seeking an Environment Manager to lead and coordinate environmental compliance and strategic environmental management across Sodexo UK & Ireland. In this pivotal role, you will ensure alignment with ISO14001 standards, regulatory obligations, and our ambitious ESG commitments. You will design and maintain a clear framework that drives ownership, visibility, and strategic direction, helping us not only meet but exceed our environmental responsibilities now and in the future.

As the regional strategic owner for environmental compliance, you will establish strong governance and clear ownership of environmental processes, ensuring visibility of compliance status and readiness to respond to incidents. You will lead the effective application of ISO certification to meet central and contractual requirements, champion continual improvement initiatives, and drive innovation in environmental management.

Main assignments include owning and maintaining the regional ISO14001 certification and associated EMS documentation, defining and implementing regional environmental standards and policies, leading horizon scanning and legal obligations tracking, coordinating internal audits and incident readiness protocols, developing and managing the regional aspects and impacts register, supporting the application of ISO14001 into contracts/sites where required, facilitating environmental campaigns aligned with Better Tomorrow objectives, and representing environmental interests in ESG forums and governance committees.

Requirements

Experience
- Proven experience in environmental compliance and auditing.
- Experience in stakeholder engagement and cross-functional coordination.
- Project and change management skills.

Qualifications
- Degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, or related field.
- ISO 14001 lead auditor certification preferred.
- Familiarity with ESG frameworks and UK & Ireland regulatory landscape.
