About the Role

As Environment Manager, you will lead and coordinate environmental compliance and strategic environmental management across Sodexo UK & Ireland. You will ensure alignment with ISO14001 standards, regulatory obligations, and Sodexo's ambitious ESG commitments. This pivotal role involves designing and maintaining a clear framework that drives ownership, visibility, and strategic direction, helping Sodexo meet and exceed its environmental responsibilities now and in the future. As the regional strategic owner for environmental compliance, you will establish strong governance and clear ownership of environmental processes, ensuring visibility of compliance status and readiness to respond to incidents. You will lead the effective application of ISO certification to meet central and contractual requirements, champion continual improvement initiatives, and drive innovation in environmental management.

Main Assignments
Own and maintain the regional ISO14001 certification and associated EMS documentation. Define and implement regional environmental standards and policies. Lead horizon scanning and legal obligations tracking. Coordinate internal audits and incident readiness protocols. Develop and manage the regional aspects and impacts register. Support the application of ISO14001 into contracts/sites where required. Facilitate environmental campaigns aligned with Better Tomorrow objectives. Represent environmental interests in ESG forums and governance committees.

Experience
Proven experience in environmental compliance and auditing. Experience in stakeholder engagement and cross-functional coordination. Demonstrated project and change management skills.

About you
Strategic thinker with strong governance leadership capabilities. Ability to lead and influence across multiple teams and stakeholders. Passionate about sustainability and continuous improvement. Comfortable working within complex regulatory and ESG frameworks.

Qualifications
Degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, or a related field. ISO 14001 lead auditor certification preferred. Familiarity with ESG frameworks and the UK & Ireland regulatory landscape.
