About the Role
As an Environment Strategy Project Manager at Suffolk County Council, you will be part of a small, dynamic team focused on decarbonising transport in Suffolk through the provision of electric vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure under the Local Electric Vehicle Infrastructure (LEVI) project. Your role will involve liaising with District Council colleagues and other landowning organisations to secure agreements for hosting EV chargepoints on their land, requiring strong negotiation and persuasion skills. You will explain complex and technical information clearly to a broad range of stakeholders and be comfortable presenting to diverse audiences. Maintaining meticulous records of site progress and demonstrating excellent IT skills and attention to detail will be key to your success.

You will support the Senior Project Manager in managing technical stakeholders across Highways, Planning, Legal, and Property teams, requiring excellent relationship management skills. Knowledge of legal documents such as Leases and Licences is advantageous. Your work will contribute directly to Suffolk County Council’s target of net zero emissions for its operations and services by 2030.

The Environment Strategy Team embraces flexible and remote working to support a healthy work-life balance while delivering impactful projects that support carbon reduction within homes, communities, and businesses across Suffolk.
