About the Role
Barhale is a leading privately owned civil engineering and infrastructure specialist with over 40 years of experience across multiple sectors including Water, Transport, Built Environment, and Energy. As part of the Anglian Water @one Alliance, a collaborative partnership of seven companies, we are preparing for AMP8, our most ambitious Asset Management Period to date, delivering large-scale infrastructure projects with a focus on nature-based solutions such as wetlands and urban drainage schemes.
We are seeking an experienced and passionate Environmental and Sustainability Manager to lead and support our commitment to environmental excellence within the @one Alliance. In this role, you will oversee environmental compliance, promote sustainable practices across projects, and ensure adherence to environmental legislation and best practices. You will manage a team of Environment and Sustainability Advisors and collaborate across teams to drive continuous improvement in environmental performance.

Experience
- Proven environmental management experience within the construction industry.
- Experience with environmental and sustainability issues such as contaminated land, waste management, soil testing, carbon, ecology, and incident investigation.
- Experience managing environmental audits, inspections, and non-conformance reports.
- Familiarity with relevant environmental legislation and regulations.

- Proficient in document production tools including Visio, Power BI, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and GIS.
Qualifications
- Degree or equivalent qualification in an environmental-related subject.
- PIEMA Membership (IEMA Chartered status desirable).
- Lead ISO 14001 Auditor or Auditor training.
