About the Role
At Roche, you can show up as yourself, embraced for the unique qualities you bring. Our culture encourages personal expression, open dialogue, and genuine connections, where you are valued, accepted and respected for who you are, allowing you to thrive both personally and professionally. This is how we aim to prevent, stop and cure diseases and ensure everyone has access to healthcare today and for generations to come. Join Roche, where every voice matters.
As Environmental & Sustainability Manager at Roche Diagnostics, you will lead the charge in shaping our environmental and sustainability agenda across the UK and Ireland. You will play a pivotal role in embedding our global ESG commitments into everyday operations, ensuring compliance with regulations, and inspiring cultural change. This is your chance to make a meaningful impact—from reducing carbon emissions to driving innovation in sustainable products and processes—while helping us reach our net-zero goals.
Your responsibilities will include developing and delivering sustainability strategies aligned with Roche's global standards, ISO 14001, and the UN Sustainable Development Goals. You will ensure compliance with environmental laws and reporting frameworks such as ISO 14001, CDP, GRI, REACH, and WEEE. Leading initiatives to measure, analyse, and reduce carbon emissions, energy, water, waste, and resource use will be key, alongside partnering with teams, suppliers, and industry networks to drive sustainable practices and share expertise. You will design and deliver training to build awareness and capability across the organisation and support sustainable product and process innovation, from procurement choices to circular economy initiatives. Establishing and tracking KPIs, ensuring transparent reporting and continuous improvement will also be part of your role.
At Roche, a healthier future drives us to innovate. Together, more than 100,000 employees across the globe are dedicated to advancing science, ensuring everyone has access to healthcare today and for generations to come. Our efforts result in more than 26 million people treated with our medicines and over 30 billion tests conducted using our Diagnostics products. We empower each other to explore new possibilities, foster creativity, and keep our ambitions high, so we can deliver life-changing healthcare solutions that make a global impact. Let's build a healthier future, together.
