Central London, NCC Bristol based - 5 days on site most weeks with flexibility as needed.

Full time, 5 days per week with flexibility as required.
Salary
£43,985 to £54,083 per annum (experience dependent) plus 12.5% employer pension contribution and private medical insurance.
About the Role
This role will initially focus on contributing to the design and construction of NCC's brand-new facility, attending and contributing to project and design meetings, and participating in project completion processes. After approximately 18 months, you will join the Facilities Management team responsible for the new facility. You will develop and implement environmental strategies, policies, and initiatives to ensure compliance with environmental regulations and best practices, driving continuous improvement of the Environmental Management System and supporting the company’s mission and objectives.
You will act as a credible and informed ambassador for environmental compliance and performance, delivering training, leading audits, and championing proactive initiatives to embed environmental responsibility across the organisation.
Key activities include developing, implementing, and maintaining Environmental Management Systems (EMS) aligned with ISO 14001 standards; conducting environmental audits, assessments, and inspections; preparing sites for internal and external audits; providing guidance on environmental issues; collaborating with cross-functional teams; monitoring and analysing environmental performance data; and developing environmental training programs and awareness campaigns. You will also interpret Environment Agency requirements and permitting processes and act as the primary point of contact for all related matters.

Experience
- Career experience in a relevant Environmental Management role, ideally within complex and high-risk environments.
- Background in defence, engineering, R&D, or manufacturing industries is essential.
- Proven ability to work independently and manage environmental compliance in demanding settings.

Qualifications
