About the Role
An opportunity has arisen for an Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) Manager at our Seaforth, Liverpool site. As a key member of the Site Operations Team and part of the EHS Centre of Excellence (CoE), you will facilitate the deployment of ADM's safety, health and environmental strategy across the location. You will ensure compliance with regulatory and ADM standards and help drive continuous improvement of EHS performance and results.

Your responsibilities will include managing safety, health and environment programs to achieve zero injuries or incidents, working closely with location management to identify training needs and develop employees and contractors through effective training programs that promote a behavioural based safety culture.

You will ensure compliance by taking a hands-on approach to implement, maintain and review programs aligned with regulatory and ADM standards, focusing on Total Process Safety including DSEAR and Fire compliance, and ADM's Life Critical Standards such as permit to work systems. You will coordinate the creation, review and training of Risk Assessments, Safe Operating Procedures (SOPs), and Equipment Specific Lock Outs (ESLPs).

Working closely with the Site Compliance Manager, you will ensure adherence to UK Environmental legislation and ADM's environmental standards, including insurance checks for lifting equipment, fall arrest equipment, and pressure vessels. A significant portion of your time will be spent conducting site walkabouts, compliance checks and audits to monitor activities and engage with employees and contractors.

You will support and maintain ADM's SHE management systems, analyze data to identify trends, and provide guidance to drive continuous improvement. You will assist with root cause investigations and reporting of injuries or EHS incidents, ensuring timely implementation of follow-up actions.

Effective communication is key in this role; you will liaise with the UK Area H&S Manager, location management, and external bodies such as HSE, EA, emergency services, and UK Flour Millers. You will also network with EHS CoE colleagues at other ADM locations to ensure alignment with corporate objectives and regulatory requirements.

ADM offers a modern work environment with challenging tasks, short decision-making processes, flexible work time models, and opportunities for innovative thinking and career growth. The company culture promotes continuous learning, diversity, and inclusion, supported by various employee resource groups and mentorship programmes. Additional benefits include support for maternity and paternity leave and mental health awareness training.
