About the Role
An opportunity has arisen for an Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) Manager at our Seaforth, Liverpool site. As a key member of the Site Operations Team and part of the EHS Centre of Excellence (CoE), you will facilitate the deployment of ADM's safety, health and environmental strategy across the location. You will ensure compliance with regulatory and ADM standards and help drive continuous improvement of EHS performance and results.

Your responsibilities will include managing safety, health and environment programs with the aim of zero injuries or incidents. You will work closely with location management to identify training needs, develop learning pathways, and deliver training programs for employees and contractors to promote a behavioural based safety culture.

You will ensure compliance by working hands-on with all departments to implement, maintain and review programs aligned with regulatory and ADM standards, focusing on Total Process Safety such as DSEAR and Fire compliance, and ADM's Life Critical Standards including permit to work systems. You will coordinate risk assessments, safe operating procedures, and equipment-specific lock outs.

Collaboration with the Site Compliance Manager will ensure adherence to UK Environmental legislation and ADM's environmental standards. You will conduct regular site walkabouts, compliance checks, and audits to monitor activities and engage with employees and contractors.

Supporting and maintaining ADM's SHE management systems will be a key part of your role, including data entry, trend analysis, and guiding continuous improvement. You will assist with root cause investigations and reporting of injuries or EHS incidents, ensuring timely follow-up actions.

Effective communication is essential as you liaise with the UK Area H&S Manager, location management, EHS CoE colleagues across ADM sites, and external bodies such as HSE, EA, emergency services, and UK Flour Millers.

ADM offers a modern work environment with challenging tasks, short decision-making processes, flexible work time models, and opportunities for innovative thinking and career growth. The company culture promotes continuous learning, diversity, and inclusion with various employee resource groups and mentorship programs. Additional benefits include support for maternity and paternity leave and mental health awareness training.
