About the Role
Vantage Data Centers powers, cools, protects, and connects the technology of the world's leading hyperscalers, cloud providers, and large enterprises. Operating across North America, EMEA, and Asia Pacific, Vantage is known for innovative data center design delivering reliability, efficiency, and sustainability in scalable environments. The Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) team collaborates with Operations, Contractors, Vendors, Construction, and regulatory agencies to ensure a safe, healthy, and environmentally responsible workplace. Health, safety, and environmental protection are core values at Vantage, driving a deeply ingrained safety culture focused on vigilance, planning, training, measurement, and cooperation aligned with operational and construction goals.

As the Environmental Health & Safety Manager at the London campus, you will support operational data centers and new construction projects by developing and implementing world-class EHS systems that meet both customer and company standards. You will work closely with the regional EMEA EHS team and local operational teams to advance safety culture, improve health and safety performance, and protect employees and contractors. This role requires autonomy and collaboration across multiple disciplines including operations, security, construction, logistics, compliance, legal, and HR.

You will be responsible for managing and monitoring processes related to electrical safety, hazardous energy control, occupational noise, heat stress prevention, emergency response, working at heights, confined space entry, heavy material handling, powered industrial trucks, construction-related risks, fire/life safety, hazardous substances, waste management, ergonomics, spill prevention, risk assessment, and third-party safety supplier management.

Key duties include implementing health and safety standards and policies, conducting audits and inspections of operational and construction sites, ensuring compliance with national and international regulations, developing emergency and business continuity plans, maintaining safety records and data integrity, performing data trend analysis, supporting incident investigations, delivering regulatory training, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. You will also collaborate with leadership and stakeholders to harmonize EHS practices across the European portfolio and present safety metrics regularly.

Vantage fosters a culture of no ego and no arrogance, emphasizing mutual support, respect, and joy in work. The company offers a comprehensive suite of health, welfare, retirement, and paid leave benefits exceeding local expectations, along with ongoing training, development, and recognition opportunities. If you are passionate about safety and eager to contribute to a leading data center operator, we encourage you to apply even if you do not meet every requirement.

Requirements

Experience
Minimum of 5+ years of progressive experience in Environmental Health and Safety, with demonstrated expertise in managing a broad spectrum of risks across multiple sites. Proven ability to operate beyond compliance-based approaches to collaborate with stakeholders and implement effective risk controls. Experience working with operational and construction teams in fast-paced environments is essential.

About you
Self-starter with strong communication and influencing skills at all organizational levels. Confident and skilled at driving safety culture and continuous improvement. Able to work autonomously while collaborating effectively across functions. Committed to fostering a positive, supportive, and respectful workplace aligned with Vantage’s values of no ego and no arrogance.
