About the Role
Vantage Data Centers powers, cools, protects, and connects the technology of the world's leading hyperscalers, cloud providers, and large enterprises. Operating across North America, EMEA, and Asia Pacific, Vantage delivers innovative data center design focused on reliability, efficiency, and sustainability in flexible environments that scale with market demands. The Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) team collaborates with Operations, Contractors, Vendors, Construction, and regulatory agencies to ensure a safe, healthy, and environmentally responsible workplace. Health, safety, and environmental protection are core values at Vantage, driving a deeply ingrained safety culture through vigilance, planning, training, measurement, and cooperation aligned with operational and construction goals.

As the Environmental Health & Safety Manager at the London campus, you will support operational data centres and ongoing construction projects. You will work closely with the regional EMEA EHS team and local operational teams to develop and implement world-class EHS systems that meet both customer and Vantage standards. Your role will focus on improving health and safety, advancing the safety culture, and protecting employees by partnering with operations, security, construction, logistics, compliance, legal, and HR teams. You will identify and mitigate risks in a fast-paced environment where infrastructure, tools, and processes are continuously evolving.

The position requires autonomy and responsibility for implementing and monitoring processes including electrical safety, hazardous energy control, occupational noise exposure, heat stress prevention, emergency response planning, working at heights, confined space entry, heavy material handling, powered industrial trucks, construction-related risks, fire/life safety, hazardous substances handling, waste management, ergonomics, spill prevention, risk assessment, and third-party safety supplier management.

Key duties include conducting health and safety audits of operational and construction sites, ensuring compliance with national and international regulations, developing emergency and business continuity plans, maintaining safety records and data integrity, performing data trend analysis, consulting with compliance teams, supporting incident investigations, delivering regulatory training, and driving standardized EHS practices across the European portfolio. You will report to the Director of EHS - EMEA and serve as the primary contact for EHS program implementation at the campus.

Vantage fosters a culture of no ego and no arrogance, emphasizing mutual support, respect, and joy in work. The company offers an above-market total compensation package with comprehensive health, welfare, retirement, and paid leave benefits, along with ongoing training, development, and recognition opportunities.

- Proven ability to operate beyond compliance-based approaches to collaborate with stakeholders and implement effective risk control solutions.

About You
- Self-starter with strong communication and influencing skills at all organizational levels.
- Confident and skilled in building cross-functional relationships with operations, construction, compliance, and leadership teams.
- Able to work autonomously in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Committed to fostering a positive safety culture aligned with company values of respect, support, and continuous improvement.
- Willingness to be site-based and present on location most working days.

Qualifications
- Board of Certified Health and Safety Professionals (BCSP), NEBOSH Diploma, Occupational Health certification, or equivalent nationally/internationally recognized EHS qualification.
