About the Role
Vantage Data Centers powers, cools, protects, and connects the technology of the world's leading hyperscalers, cloud providers, and large enterprises. Operating across North America, EMEA, and Asia Pacific, Vantage delivers innovative data center design focused on reliability, efficiency, and sustainability in flexible environments that scale with market demands.

The Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) team collaborates with Operations, Contractors, Vendors, Construction, and regulatory agencies to ensure health, safety, and environmental risks are managed effectively, fostering a safe and healthful workplace. Safety is a core value at Vantage, achieved through vigilance, planning, training, measurement, and cooperation aligned with operational and construction goals.

As the Environmental Health & Safety Manager at the London campus, you will support operational data centers and new construction projects. You will work closely with the regional EMEA EHS team and local operational teams to develop and implement world-class EHS systems that meet customer and company standards. Your role will focus on improving health and safety, advancing safety culture, and protecting employees and contractors.

You will be responsible for implementing and monitoring processes covering a broad range of EHS areas including electrical safety, hazardous energy control, occupational noise, heat stress prevention, emergency response, working at heights, confined space entry, heavy material handling, construction-related risks, fire/life safety, hazardous substances, waste management, ergonomics, spill prevention, risk assessment, and third-party safety supplier management.

This role requires autonomy and collaboration with experts in operations, security, construction, logistics, compliance, legal, and human resources to maintain Vantage’s leadership in operational excellence and safety.

- Familiarity with EU-OSHA regulations and standards, as well as consensus standards such as ANSI, NFPA, DGUV, and BG Bau.
- Skilled at collaborating with stakeholders at all levels to find practical solutions that balance business needs and risk control.

About You
- Self-starter with strong communication and influencing skills.
- Confident working autonomously in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Committed to fostering a positive safety culture with no ego and no arrogance.
- Able to build strong cross-functional relationships with operations, construction, compliance, and leadership teams.

Qualifications
- Board of Certified Health and Safety Professionals (BCSP), NEBOSH Diploma, Occupational Health certification, or equivalent nationally/internationally recognized EHS qualification.
- Membership in a recognized Health & Safety organization (e.g., IOSH), preferably at Graduate or Chartered status.
