About the Role
Vantage Data Centers powers, cools, protects, and connects the technology of the world's leading hyperscalers, cloud providers, and large enterprises. Operating across North America, EMEA, and Asia Pacific, Vantage delivers innovative data center design focused on reliability, efficiency, and sustainability in flexible environments that scale with market demands.

The Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) team collaborates with Operations, Contractors, Vendors, Construction, and regulatory agencies to ensure a safe, healthy, and environmentally responsible workplace. Health, safety, and environmental protection are core values at Vantage, driving a culture of safety excellence through vigilance, planning, training, measurement, and cooperation.

As the Environmental Health & Safety Manager at the London campus, you will support operational data centres and ongoing construction projects. You will work closely with the regional EMEA EHS team and local operational teams to develop and implement world-class EHS systems that meet both customer and company standards.

Your responsibilities include advancing safety culture, protecting employees, and ensuring compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations. You will partner with operations, security, construction, logistics, compliance, legal, and HR teams to maintain and improve Vantage's health and safety programs. This role requires autonomy and a proactive approach to managing a wide range of EHS risks in a fast-paced, evolving environment.

Key focus areas include electrical safety, hazardous energy control, occupational noise, heat stress prevention, emergency response, working at heights, confined space entry, heavy material handling, powered industrial trucks, construction-related risks, fire/life safety, hazardous substances, waste management, ergonomics, spill prevention, risk assessment, and third-party safety supplier management.

You will lead the implementation of EHS standards, conduct audits and inspections, manage incident investigations, deliver training, analyze safety metrics, and collaborate with stakeholders to drive continuous improvement and compliance across the campus.

- Demonstrated ability to move beyond compliance-based approaches to collaborate effectively with stakeholders and implement practical risk control solutions.
- Experience conducting audits, risk assessments, incident investigations, and delivering regulatory training.
- Skilled in analyzing safety metrics and communicating results to leadership to drive accountability and action.

About you
- Self-starter with strong communication and influencing skills at all organizational levels.
- Confident and skilled in building cross-functional relationships with operations, construction, compliance, and leadership teams.
- Able to work autonomously in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with changing infrastructure and operational demands.
- Committed to fostering a positive safety culture aligned with Vantage’s values of teamwork, respect, and continuous improvement.
- Willingness to be on-site regularly as this is a site-based role.
