Vantage Data Centers powers, cools, protects and connects the technology of the world's leading hyperscalers, cloud providers, and large enterprises. Operating across North America, EMEA, and Asia Pacific, Vantage delivers innovative data center design focused on reliability, efficiency, and sustainability. The Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) team collaborates with Operations, Contractors, Vendors, Construction, and regulatory agencies to ensure a safe and healthful workplace, embedding safety as a core value throughout the organisation.
As the Environmental Health & Safety Manager at the London campus, you will support operational data centres and ongoing construction projects. You will work closely with the regional EMEA EHS team and local operational teams to develop and implement world-class EHS systems that meet both customer and Vantage standards. Your role will focus on advancing safety culture, protecting employees, and ensuring compliance with all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations.
You will operate autonomously in a fast-paced environment, managing risks associated with new infrastructure, tools, and processes. Key responsibilities include implementing and monitoring safety processes such as electrical safety, hazardous energy control, occupational noise exposure, emergency response planning, working at heights, confined space entry, construction-related risks, fire/life safety, hazardous substances handling, waste management, ergonomics, spill prevention, risk assessment, and third-party safety supplier management.
This role is pivotal in maintaining Vantage’s leadership in operational excellence and safety, requiring constant vigilance, planning, training, measurement, and cooperation aligned with operational and construction goals.
Experience
- Minimum 5+ years of progressive experience in Environmental Health & Safety, demonstrating knowledge across multiple sites and a broad spectrum of risks.
- Proven ability to implement and manage comprehensive EHS programs in operational and construction environments.
- Experience conducting audits, risk assessments, incident investigations, and delivering regulatory training.
- Strong familiarity with EU-OSHA regulations, ANSI, NFPA, DGUV, BG Bau standards, and other relevant consensus standards.
- Skilled in collaborating with diverse stakeholders to develop practical, business-aligned safety solutions.

Qualifications
- Board of Certified Health and Safety Professionals (BCSP), NEBOSH Diploma, Occupational Health certification, or equivalent nationally/internationally recognized EHS qualification.
- Membership in a recognized Health & Safety organization such as IOSH, preferably at Graduate or Chartered status.
- Demonstrated knowledge of health and safety management systems, risk mitigation methodologies, and safety metrics analysis.
- Ability to develop and implement EHS training programs and maintain accurate records.
- Strong analytical skills to perform data trend analysis and present findings to leadership.
