About the Role
We are seeking a dynamic leader to head our Environmental Liaison Officers, driving excellence in compliance and shaping the future of our sustainability journey. In this pivotal role, you will create and deliver strategies that respond to regulator insights, lead transformation programmes aligned with our business goals, and inspire your team to achieve outstanding results. You will lead and support a team of Environmental Liaison Officers, providing direction and guidance, and act as deputy to the Head of Environmental Performance during periods of absence. You will support the Environmental Services team with technical matters related to regulatory inspections, develop and manage Environmental Liaison policies, processes and strategies, and lead continuous improvement through reviewing and embedding new processes. Your responsibilities will also include undertaking audits, representing the company on external working groups, and owning the regulatory reporting line as a reviewer.

Application Process
The recruitment journey consists of three steps: CV screening by the Recruitment Team, followed by a meeting with the Recruitment & Hiring Manager. Interviews are anticipated to be held during the week commencing 13th October 2025 and will include a presentation, technical leadership assessment, and a values interview.

Experience
- Strong and proven leadership ability
- Detailed understanding of environmental permitting regulations relevant to water industry operations
- Strong knowledge of the regulatory and legislative framework for the water industry
- Demonstrable experience developing strategies, policies, and procedural documents
- Extensive problem-solving skills with the ability to identify, develop, and drive solutions to a wide range of problems while knowing when to escalate or seek support
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and corporate systems such as Comply, OMS, and JIRA
