About the Role

As the Environmental Manager, you will ensure that Flogas and its subsidiary companies operate in full compliance with environmental legislation, guidelines, and sustainability targets. Your role will involve assessing business activities to identify opportunities for environmental improvements, implementing changes, and ensuring ongoing compliance with environmental laws and codes of practice across the organisation.
While Flogas has a background in fossil fuels, the company is actively transitioning towards delivering 100% renewable energy to customers by 2040. This includes supporting customers to reduce carbon emissions by switching from oil to gas, developing offerings in heat pumps and solar panels, and exploring new bio-fuels and renewable gases. Experience
- Minimum 5 years in an environmental management role
- Experience working in a high hazard, manufacturing, or industrial multi-site operation
- Knowledge of renewable energy, energy audits, and energy efficiency measures
- Expertise in solid and hazardous waste management, including recycling and disposal methods
- Understanding of pollution control including air, water, and soil pollution sources, impacts, remediation techniques, and contractor management

- Strong commitment to environmental compliance and sustainability
- Proactive and solution-focused with excellent organisational skills
- Effective communicator able to work collaboratively across teams and sites
Qualifications
- Relevant environmental management qualifications or certifications are desirable but not explicitly stated
