About the Role
Join Morgan Sindall Group PLC as an Environmental Manager supporting the delivery of a range of exciting schemes on the Harburn Framework. This role offers a fantastic opportunity to develop your skills and take on increasing responsibility within one of the UK's most successful infrastructure companies. You will deliver environmental advice and guidance at all levels to minimise risk, assist in developing and implementing environmental elements of the Integrated Management System (IMS) to maintain ISO14001 certification, and support the development of environmental strategy and management action plans aligned with corporate requirements. Key responsibilities include leading inspections, audits, and investigations, collaborating on IMS development, participating in advisory teams, contributing to pre-contract and work-winning activities, reviewing compliance with environmental management systems and legislation, and promoting environmental best practices across the business unit. You will also liaise with customers on environmental matters, lead the use of company performance measurement tools, and assist in training staff and subcontractors to ensure legal compliance with environmental procedures and controls.
About the Energy Business Unit
Our Energy Business Unit specialises in upgrading and replacing energy networks, delivering asset management for major UK energy companies and network operators. We provide transmission and distribution services including installation and maintenance of electricity assets both above and below ground, excavation, cable laying and jointing, substations, overhead lines, and refurbishment services. Experience
- Proven experience in a similar environmental or compliance-focused role
- Demonstrable ability to ensure compliance with standards and specifications
- Solid understanding of construction practices and industry standards
- Experience working effectively in team environments across projects and operational areas

Qualifications
- Educated to degree level or equivalent in a related subject
- Practitioner-level member of IEMA (PIEMA), actively working toward Chartered status
- Holder of recognised internal auditing qualifications

- Comprehensive knowledge of ISO14001 Environmental Management System and its practical implementation
