About the Role
Join Anglian Water as an Environmental Pollution Technician and play a vital role in protecting and restoring our natural environment. This position places you at the forefront of efforts to prevent environmental impacts and manage pollution incidents across the region. Your work will directly influence the health of local watercourses and the wider environment, contributing to a sustainable future for the community and generations to come.
In this varied and dynamic role, you will work closely with operational front-line teams, communities, and stakeholders to respond to potential pollution events, gather data and samples, and support investigations to identify root causes and prevent reoccurrence. You will be the first responder in many situations, conducting impact assessments, sampling, and liaising with regulators and other key partners.
Additional responsibilities include ensuring pollution mitigation equipment is maintained and ready for use, being available on standby outside core hours, and acting as an ambassador for Anglian Water by engaging with community groups to support river health improvements. Experience
Experience in the environmental field or water industry is beneficial but not essential. We welcome applicants with a passion for environmental protection and a willingness to learn.

- Full UK driving licence is essential due to travel across the region.

- Able to work independently with appropriate training and support.

- Able to perform well under pressure and manage competing priorities effectively.
Qualifications
